This product is a UV absorber, can strongly absorb the wavelength of 270 ~ 330nm UV, can be used for all kinds of plastics, especially polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS resin, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, Vinylidene chloride, epoxy resins, polyesters and cellulose resins. Good compatibility with resin, low volatility. The general amount of 0.1% to 1%. This product can also be used as a variety of paint light stabilizer. This product is less toxic. Many countries permit this product to be used in food contact plasticized products, such as the United States for polyolefins, the United Kingdom (up to 0.6%), Italy (polyethylene, polypropylene up to 0.5%), Japan dosage: poly 0.5% of ethylene, 1% of polypropylene, 0.5% of AS resin and ABS resin, 0.2% of polyvinyl chloride (can not touch oil-based food or food containing more than 20% of food).

3. Introduction:

UV-531 is a benzophenone type UV absorber for plastics and other organic polymer. Owing to its strong, broad UV absorption properties and excellent polymer compatiliity. UV-531 exhibits very effiective protection of polymers against UV light exposure. UV-531 retards yellowing, embrittlement, and mechanical property degradation of the polymer when properly used.
